ARTIST STATEMENT:
I create art as a way to step outside the weight of everyday life and offer viewers a moment of escape, a space to pause, forget, and simply admire. With the constant noise around us, we often overlook the value of simple happiness. My work is an attempt to bring that feeling back.
Using mixed media, I build abstract characters inspired by the personalities and energy of the people around me. Through color, form, and playful distortion, I try to capture their vibrance in a way that feels alive. My practice began with exploring how shapes can tell stories, and over time, it has grown into creating worlds that blur reality, combining painting, sculptural elements, and photography to give these imagined characters a place to exist. I focus on how I can transform the vibrancy I feel from the people around me into a moment of happiness for viewers.
Each series takes on a different form. Some merge photography with painted intervention; others lean into sculptural shapes. Even as the materials shift, the intention stays the same: to create a world where viewers can encounter a form, a shape, or a character without the noise of daily life a moment of connection, curiosity, and escape.
